Patch 1.22.0: Flashpoint Goes Live with New Weapons, Enemies, and Operations

Patch 1.22.0 launches Flashpoint's live overhaul with the Close Scrutiny ARC Operation, Warden Echo, two new weapons, and fresh enemy variants that change how high-tier runs play.

Patch 1.22.0 is the first full live version of Flashpoint rather than a teaser. The March 31 update turns the previously announced overhaul into an active endgame activity, complete with refreshed rules, a new ARC Operation, and a boss encounter designed to punish squads that rely on old pacing habits.

The biggest systems change is the Close Scrutiny ARC Operation. This modifier compresses safe space, increases pressure as runs drag on, and forces squads to rotate with intent instead of camping for clean sight lines. The result is a far more aggressive tempo where positioning, burst damage, and cooldown timing matter more than slow attrition play.

Warden Echo now anchors the new Flashpoint experience as a signature boss encounter. The fight mixes arena denial, punishing focus-fire windows, and add pressure from supporting ARC units, so teams that cannot clear secondary threats quickly will lose momentum before they can capitalize on boss vulnerability phases.

Patch 1.22.0 also expands the arsenal with the Canto, a rare medium-ammo SMG built for controlled close-to-mid range duels, and the Dolabra, a legendary energy shotgun that offers premium burst damage for squads willing to commit to high-value energy ammo. Both weapons are positioned as strong options for Flashpoint and high-pressure PvE clears rather than generic starter gear.

On the enemy side, Flashpoint introduces the Vaporizer and the Assessor. The Vaporizer adds aerial laser pressure that punishes stationary players and exposed revives, while the Assessor acts as a support machine that amplifies battlefield stress even when it is not the unit dealing the finishing blow. Together they make target priority far more important than in previous endgame loops.
